Ouch... Mustang didn't stand a chance...
Whoever on the scene came up with that crackhead explanation should be beaten with a rubber hose.
ETA - Yeah, I'm going with following too closely. Some or all of you.
At least everyone came away relatively unscathed. But I don't buy that "the events made it hard to stop in time for any person" deal.

Those V6 Mustangs are helping the Mustang stay alive.
That's part of the reason why the Camaro's stopped production in 2002 because their V6 sales didn't compare to the Mustang sales.

Basically fulfilling it's intended role from the 60's.

We were all the right distances apart at the speed we were going (proven by both insurance,MP, and CID investigation), but it still wasn't enough time to react. I did hit the brakes, but by the time I did it was over.
Being the correct distance apart = having enough reaction time. This distance is measured in seconds, not car lengths. 14 years ago, I was involved in a rear end collision where the girl who hit me accused me in court of stopping too hard, and leaving her no reaction time, but the judge heard none of it. He told her that if you rear end someone, you are following too close. Period. Fine will be paid within 10 days.
