Same here, except I gave 73 bucks for the Cavalier, and that includes tags. When I fill up with gas, it doubles it's value, lol!

i was against ford from way back when my ex-wifes 1986 tempo was acting up and stranded her with my son for the last time.
I don't blame you - the Tempo was a sorry piece of crap on a GOOD day. Ford never did get a small car right till they introduced the Focus.

The Camry is made here in Kentucky. The company I work for makes the wheels for the Camry, among other Toyota vehicles, and it is also in Kentucky.

I own Fords because I like 'em, and logistically, it makes sense (working for a dealership and all, easy access to factory tools, parts, service material, etc).

About the only thing I won't own is most GM and Chrysler products. I hate those dudes to death; everything GM and Chrysler does is so ***-backwards from Ford, it makes my head hurt to comprehend.

i have no brand loyalty

i have worked for ford, owned a ford, a pos dodge car and now own a chevy truck

every brand has its up and down sides and such

i am so tired of all the bs that goes on between people who think one brand is better than that other...its all just stupid and it pisses me off when someone disrespects another brand just because they done personally like it

You're right, one design could never possibly work better than another.

learned to drive in a 99 f250 crew cab... which my dad still has.. running great with 115,000 miles on it.

first car... '64 VW bug!! ran like a champ... drove it many time to college and home..LA to monterey and it did 70 all the way there but got blown all over the road with wind and getting passed by big rigs..

had my grandpas '72 f150 horrible MPG dad sold it.

upgraded my bug to an 03 focus w/ the 2.3l. great little car. but didnt fit my life style too small and being 6'1" i had the seat all the way back!! lol

3 months ago bought an 06 f150 SuperCrew love it!! but i should have waited till i found one with the 6.5 ft bed. but still love it!!!

thought about buying dodge but guy down the street has to change brake pads every 10k mi and rotors every 20k. and friend had many problems.

Started with an 87 Chevy S10 Blazer... then a 99 Isuzu Rodeo... then a 98 Ford F-150... then an 02 GMC Sierra... now the 08 Ford F-150. I was either given them, they were the right price, or had the right features for the time in my life, or a combination. I'm not brand loyal... just now I am loyal to vehicles built in the US.

I guess that means you would buy a Tundra or Titan?

(flame suit on)

My F-150 was built in Canada, does that count?
