need some help with job application

Hey guys, i have googled my *** off on trying to get help and i don't know whre to turn. I am 22 years old and I am applying for a local law enforcement job and on the work history section it is asking the details about the dates and i worked and in the order i worked. Since i have been 16 i have worked about 5 different jobs, and a few of the old jobs aren't even in business anymore. I'm needed to be as accurate as possible and i've found some websites a that offer this service, but i've read reviews on them being scams and i don't feel like loosing 50 bucks for nothing. I have seen few people say that i can get in touch with my local labor board or social security office and get the information i need. any help or suggestions??

Exactly. I've applied for LE also. I made it all the way through PT test and Pysch eval and decided I didn't want it at the time. It's not a big huge deal. They are people too. Just don't lie, it will come out. What I mean is, if you went to rehab for instance, put that.

Why you need to be honest, especially with security clearances.. So you cant be black mailed. Usually most things aren't held against you. Unless you were a drug dealer or something obvious.

Good luck. Don't go into thinking you might fk up or make a mistake or what if this or that is held against me. Just do what you go to do.

Do you have your old tax records? That may assist on when you were at these locations... just a thought.

You don't have to be exact. You just need a round-a-bout-time frame. They want work history for pysch eval and personality. If you've held 50 jobs in two years, that's no good. If you held 5 jobs and been fired 5 times, no good.

Just get close nothing fancy.

It's not a test.

Not as hard as you think or complicated.

I had the same thing happen to me applying from my secret to my top secret. I actually put two different dates and times for some jobs and places I lived. Never asked me anything about that. Only thing they ever asked me was about 300 bucks on a credit card.

Good luck.

FWIW, the SS office will be able to give you the years but not the exact dates.

SSI sends a statement every year of cumulative earnings. As far as exact dates, guess as close as you can. It's not that critical. They are just looking to see what you've done so far.
