I'm on my 3rd F-150 and also had a 2000 F-250. Alway's need a truck to pull a boat, utility trailer's etc. Also feel a lot safer in a large truck on the crappy highway's down in South Louisiana.

Bought my 1st F150 as soon as I got out of high school. I was framing houses, so I had to trade in the Trans Am for a more suitable vehicle for my job. My dad always had Fords, so that was my first choice and I'm glad I went with one. I liked it so much that I traded in the 97 XL for a brand new (at the time) 02 XLT, which I still have. I've since switched careers, so the F150 is more of a weekend warrior. It serves me best for what most have mentioned, trips to Home Depot, pulling the boat, camping, helping friends that I didn't know I had move their chit, etc.

I've been driving Fords for 17yrs and have been really happy with them. I have had an F150 and 250 for company trucks over those years. With the amount of run time and mileage I put on them, they have held up excellent.

That's why I bought an F150 for my personal vehicle.

I bought mine purely to just drive a nice truck. Then, I got married, got a job with a long commute, had a few kids, and gas prices went up. Now I have a '99 Taurus as a daily driver and my truck ended up going from my daily driver to just being a vehicle that I use to work and play. It sits in my garage 90% of the year, and the rest of the time is either hauling antique tractors, campers, or snowmobiles. She only has 77,000 miles on her and still drives like new. Sometimes I forget how old my 2001 is getting until I see a '97 - '03 body style that is half rotted away. I used to work at a Ford dealer through high school and college and I remember when the first '97 F-150 rolled off of the car carrier...wow, can't believe that was 12 years ago!!
