this sucks

so during the rediculous gas prices, I decided to sell my f150. I just didnt make enough to pay for the gas, as i drive a lot. I sold it for $6250, and later that day bought a 2000 audi A4 2.8 v6 quattro for $6250. I absolutely love the car. the quattro is a load of fun, but I regret selling my truck so badly now. The audi wasnt worth it, despite that it has been just as reliable as my f150 was. I am convinced that the f150 is just the only vehicle I will ever want.

so...no one else sell your f150 for an audi. Its not worth it. Although I am sure you all could have told me that before I make a significant amount more than i did 2 years ago. ::sigh::

Since you are making significantly more money now your Audi should be paid off soon. Then you can buy another f150. Problem solved.

both were/are paid off. I wrote checks. I am moving to seattle soon and need to keep saving for the increased rent and tuition. Plus I do not know what my salary will be like either.

I sold it to an attorney who has fallen in love with it. He comes into work and rubs it in my face from time to time. its still in perfect condition.

Sounds like you need to save up for a really nice F150 that you won't ever want to sell.

I can tell you that an F150 in Seattle is a BAD idea. Parking is horrible there. The spots are tiny and traffic is pretty bad. Going with the Audi was a good idea. Seattle isn't truck friendly. Some bark humper would have probably keyed your truck anyway.

I know exactly what you mean. I did the same thing a few months ago. Only thing was I didn't sell my truck. I bought a 99 Taurus and drove it a few times and thought man I hate this thing. So I'm drivin my truck again and the Taurus is in my front yard forsale.

Isn't that the truth. If you're not a bicycle riding, tree-hugging, Al Gore loving liberal, that's not the place for 'ya, that's for sure. Sometimes I think that's a different planet.

The only cars I would drive would be rear wheel drive... like the following:

Mustang GT (manual tranny, v8)
Corvette (manual tranny)
Crown Victoria (v8)

Other than that, the rest of them are junk.

Back when I was looking to trade in my Ranger I looked at getting an Audi. I decided against it for a few reasons. One of the bigger reasons was repair costs. Any replacement parts or mechanical work needed would be so much more expensive than an F150s. Not to mention I'm a truck guy and always will be. I don't fit very well in cars being 6'5"...

Come back to the light, brother.

One thing I have learned from my dad when selling something is in the sale agreement, put that the said buyer must offer it back to the seller first if he ever puts it up for sale. That way if you realize you want it back, you arent totally screwed.
