To me, that's like squirrel hunting with a bazooka. Pointless.

Yeah that's a little excessive. I can see if he's competing but for a daily driver it's pointless. I like to hear the words coming from my radio and also like to drive to work without feeling like a giant vibrator.

I didn't say they couldn't. I'm sure I'm in the lower end as far as understanding audio systems. I understand everyone has their hobbies and I didn't mean to offend anyone. He's into audio, obviously, and I'm sure he competes. Actually listening to music with the bass up like that, though, defeats the purpose of the music. You can barely make anything out while his system was thumping. Not sure how he drives that thing, either. See the steering wheel shake? That would be extremely uncomfortable as a dd.

Don't get me wrong, though, it's very impressive and I'm sure it's quite an experience to hear. Fish knows.

Hey man, just saw you have the SLP loudmouth. Would you mind helping me out in my thread in the exhaust forum?

nah the reason you couldn't make anything out because it was caught using a camcorder and he was playing mostly bass tracks. Even my system sounds like that on my HD30 camcorder and my system is more of a audiophile system. I'd bet his system sounds near perfect in person.

Good point. You're absolutely right and I can't believe I didn't think of that. I retract my previous statement. :o

Although I have heard those systems where all you hear is the bass and it sounds like chit.

i still don't see how someone could drive around with that kind of bass playing.

it's nice to be able to do something like that. if he turned everything up just for the demonstration then more power to him.

where's ole fish at to explain things?

You know what's funny is Fish is a member of this forum and after 2 days he hasn't posted in a thread about him. That rear seat must be really heavy on his mind right now.
