Anybody got a guess on how much this weighs

I was roofing with my brother-in-law and when we went to leave the dump truck was stuck in the mud so I got in the mud with it, hooked up and pulled it out with ease. I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of the weight. It was a chevy kodiak with a small dump bed and 5000 lbs. of shingles.

~ 15k. He wasn't real stuck if you pulled him out with ease. Nice work though.

Honestly good deal, but I have to agree somewhat.

No it wasn't stuck that bad and probably won't have gotten stuck if it was a 4wd but with a week's worth of rain everyday and me pulling on it I didn't want to get stuck too. Thanks for the info guys

A Kodiak 4500 curb weight is 10,500 lbs. Depending on the equipment it has on it, would be additional. But before you start feeling good about yer truck, I've towed LOADED 18 wheelers weighing in at over 80,000 on streets for quite a few miles and have pulled loaded concrete trucks out of mud that weigh in at about the same 80,000. The Kodiak will not make yer Ford break a sweat. It'll pull a lot more....a whole lot more.

in the mud, it's hard enough to pull yourself through... let alone a dump truck... dry pavement is MUCH different..

Why must you be mean to your tranny? Do I think my truck could do it? Yeah. Will I ever attempt it? No.

1st4x4, dude, in my much younger college days I drove a fairly new 74 F-100 that I pulled loaded boxcars with. I worked in a lumber yard and sometimes the railroad would spot the cars right and sometimes you just had to move them. Figure close to 250,000 lbs on the wheels. You don't just go up to one and drop the hammer. Ya gotta know what yer doin'. I've never replaced a transmission early and most go well over 100,000 before I rebuild them. The same 74 F-100 is in my garage with a highly modded 390 and it's on the 2nd ever transmission, a C6. The truck has over 278,000 miles on it. The Bronco has pulled numerous concrete trucks with the same lousy E4OD with 132,000 miles on it. I don't see that I'm abusing any of them.

Wasn't trying to brag on the pull was really just wondering how much it all weighed. think i'll stick to kodiaks and not 18 wheelers sounds like just asking for something to break
