Story with a great ending.....

It's too bad they don't "all" end like this.

Too bad about the Lexus though.

IMPO, drinking in your living room is a freaking waste of time. So you can probably guess what I think about idiots that get out on the street and endanger others

Fish

PS, I don't do any drugs..... But if I were going to, I'd sooner smoke pot, since it is far less dangerous than alcohol. Had that guy "only" been smoking pot, everything would almost certainly have turned out just fine.

Darwinism took it's course on that one. I completely agree with you on the whole pot thing, but I don't think you'll find much support for that here . Last time there was a thread on that here, it turned pretty nasty.

You'll actually find quite a bit of support from those members who are educated and can think for themselves.

Those who can only regurgitate what's been shoved down their throats have a harder time with the issue.

Man, I couldn't have said that better myself !

It's funny, my boss truly believes that pot is in the same category as crack rock, and heroin {he's never taken a hit in his life}..... but then he also believes alcohol > is not even a drug < and is completely safe and recreational.... and furthermore, since he has not become addicted to it, you shouldn't become addicted to it either, "unless" you have some sort of personal problems Uhhh.... Okay.

My teacher said marijuana is a gateway drug and if I do it I'll eventually end up in jail.

(should be legal, alcohol is worse) + (if done responsibly) = (the perfect buzz).

As for Johnny Drunk in the Lexus, no sympathy, got what he deserved.

LOL I wholeheartedly concur

Seriously though, my "gateway drug" was alcohol..... which I was easily able to obtain, in a house where my parents drank a BUNCH {and thought that was totally safe, healthy, and basically no problem at all.... Too bad my father ended up a hard-core alcoholic, who most likely would have died from it, if lung disease hadn't killed him first} And BTW, my parents (just like my boss) always believed that pot was a serious, hard-core drug, just like crack, heroin, etc.
Honestly, I believe that if my father had never drank alcohol, and had smoked a joint or two a day > instead of a pack or two of Pall Mall unfiltered's < he might still be alive today

Anyway, a lot of my friends drink. Most of them responsibly (I think / hope). Also, none of them are "practicing" alcoholics.... for the time being {one of my best long time friends is a recovering alcoholic, like 4 years clean, and lucky to be alive}.
But as stupid as I think it is, it is legal So when it comes to the subject of alcohol, I just have to bite my tongue a lot.
Still, it's just mind boggling to me that a drug as strong as alcohol, is legal ? It's a shame that prohibition didn't work

Anyway.

Peace,
Fish

The only reason alcohol is legal is because it has been around for so long. If it was a new drug it would be outlawed in a heartbeat i think.
