Sad day for country music...

Brooks and Dunn called it quits today. Pretty well sucks since them and Alabama was my favorite 2 country bands. Even though Brooks and Dunn's recent hits weren't exactly 'country', they still stayed on the rock side of country and still knew how to get down.

I think every day is a sad day for country music. Today is just a tad bit sadder.

Couldn't agree more. I can't stand hearing Taylor Swift's type of "Country Music". Don't get me wrong, she's nice to look at, but that's about it. When I'm in the mood for country music, it's usually Prime Country channel 61 on Sirius for me. I can't stand the new country these days and I'm 29.

Most likely. Maybe they will be back with actually good music.

Apologies for ranting here, but all of the country singers that have been around for 10 years or more now are making nothing but ****, aside from Brad Paisley. Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Brooks n Dunn have all gotten extremely popified. Toby Keith needs to get back to Get Drunk and Be Somebody, rather than his ooo im a bike rider tough guy BS. Trace needs to bring back stuff like Rough N Ready and ladies love country boys. Brooks n Dunn need to go back to hard workin man and play something country.

I hardly EVER listen to my local country station anymore because I'm so damn sick of them playing Darius Rucker 16 times a day.

/rant.

Alan has stayed true. George will always stay true, however I think he's breathin a little bit too much of that Mexican air . I heard on his new cd there is going to be a song entirely in Spanish.

Im glad, I love country music, but there new stuff does not hold a flame to their old stuff, it was time to hang it up and I hope they stay retired!
