Unusual Piece of Trivia
I just read an interesting little article on why clocks and watches are set to 10:10.

Here are two for you:
Why are the windows in new cars (and trucks) always blackened? To make the car look better?
And in most movie shots, the streets are always wet even though the movie shows it hasn't been raining. To mask the oil deposits?

As for the movie shots on streets, I had never heard that before.
Gives the vehicle a clean appearance so as not to draw your attention away from the exterior lines of the vehicle plus it conceals the driver in moving shots.
Price of gas in 1919:
$0.25/Gallon
Price of bread in 1919:
$0.10/Lb
Price of gas in 2004:
$1.85/Gallon
Price of bread in 2004:
$1.30/Lb
1.3/.10 = 1300% price increase for bread.
1.85/.25 = 740% price increase for gas.
Yet, you never hear anyone whine about bread. I don't get it.

Why are we still whining about the price of gas? Why not the price of, oh how about, bread?

It always kills me when I hear someone complain about the price of gas. Yes, it's high and I'd love to be paying less. What kills me is no one says anything about the price we pay for bottled water!?! I mean gas is far cheaper then the bottled water we see people with all the time.
As far as the windows being tinted in new car ads. I've seen some new cars actually be lowered for the ads. Go look at them in person and they look like they're sitting 10 feet in the air. They'll have a goofy stance and honestly 9 out of 10 times would benefit from the windows being tinted.
Just my 2 pennies...
