i just want to keep what i earn thats all....these handouts are ridiculous. this healthcare deal.. if people want to spend there money on the brand new suv instead of buying health insurance for thier families...so be it.. just dont expect my tax dollars to bail you out whrn there is a medical emergency. i agree health care can be expensive.. thats what part time jobs are for. what happened to pulling yourself up by the bootstraps and succeeding?? or at least trying to.

The thing that I don't understand is, if it's the cost of health care that is what prohibits so many people from having heath insurance, why is the government shoving this program down our throats, that doesn't address the high cost of health care, just how to pay for it?

The way to keep health care costs down is to make it an individuals responsibility to maintain their bodies. It should be up to every person to eat right, excercise, schedule their own check up's with the doctor and to pay for them out of pocket. Health insurance should have low premiums and should only cover the major stuff. If you don't take care of yourself, you should pay higher premiums than someone who does.

If people were shopping around for good doctors in good clinics at affordable prices, the free market would work out the high cost of health care.

There is a certain segment of the population that doesnt want to work for anything. They want it free. In other words They want everyone that pays taxes to pay for it. Entitlement.

There are accidental healthcare needs, and also cancer, and many others needs that are beyond our control.
If you are relying on a health insurance policy now to take care of anything that ales you, you will be in for a rude awakening, when you find out that your insurance tells you that you can't have a treatment a doctor prescribes.

The health care insurance providers control the hospitals now. They are worse than Gestapo. Take my advice. Don't get sick, and rely on insurance.

But I do agree, the Government would do no better at much more cost and less efficiency

i agree. there should be incentives for keeping fit and healthy.. the company i work for has the ridicolous policy. they will pay for drug or alchaol rehab if you develop a problem while working for them as long as u admit u have a problem. so basically i can turn into a crackhead or drunk get free rehab and my job will be waiting for me when i get back. i can CHOSE bad and reckless behavior and not pay any consequences.

Hmm. Just this year, I've had to buy a refrigerator, a central A/C. my oven is broke now and I think I've forgotten something. I should have thought about having the Government to buy these things for me.:o

Well, you should either have the choice of carrying huge amounts of insurance to cover what ever may break, or pay large sums in taxes so that everyone can get new stuff when their's breaks.

What this really is, is cash, tax payers money, for votes for one of the two parties. They are using our money in a very effective way. I don't think that the Constitution allows it, but hey, that's just an old, antiquated document written by a bunch of old, racist, bigoted, rich, white men.

This is community activism, with our money, on a grand scale. Just you try and stop it!

what's wrong with cash for sex????? and why is it illegal

You have to have 1 year of title ownership, and insurance coverage to qualify

As for Kia/Hyundai selling, the number one selling car is the Ford Focus

After that we have a Toyota, Honda, Toyota, Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Dodge, Honda & Chevy

So.......................... Toyota possibly has the most sales, then probably Ford or Honda.

Why? Some of the "imports" are more "Made in the USA" than Big3 vehicles.
Why? Because we gave The Big2 a bunch of money! Wouldn't it be in our best interest to see them benefit from "Cash for Clunkers" so they can pay back the money they borrowed from us ( maybe I'm in dreamland too)!!!

i really believe that the big plan is not to have any of this money paid back. i think the architects of this overthrow of the country is to bankrupt us. spend money, burn money, waste money, print money. they are going to destroy the entire financial system and job base. only 1 job out of 10 is in manufacturing. that ratio is getting higher and higher. soon we will make nothing. we will be a nation of over extended consumers. not a shot will be fired and we will be overthrown.
