Went to My First Gun Show this Weekend: WOW!!!
#16
there is a gun show in bristol, pa this sat and sun. 7 and 8 of aug. went the last time it was there and they had some good prices on ammo.
bought a colt ar 15 a month ago. its the LE model with the short barrel. real accurate and consistent. from 100 to 150 yards all the rounds went into the chest area of the target. thats with stock sights that i zeroed at 25 yards. i think with a scope it would be better. also a longer barrel would have made it more accurate but unless i decided there were jobs open for snipers i will stick with the short one.

So, looks like this gun thing is pretty addicting! Anyway, I was wondering what one could expect to pay for a AR-15? The next gun show is coming to the area around early October here. I'm just wondering what I should expect to pay for either a good used one vs. a new one? I'd really like to get as much info on these as i can. Thanks guys!
I would personally buy new when it comes to ar15's. A new one about right now is around $900-$1,100 for your typical flat top carbine. Just make sure you get a flat top (with removable handle) so you can mount optics later down the road.

Anybody have one of these? I am seriously thinking of getting one and hoping it is a good model!
