And the Mailbox Wins...

CAme out after work yesterday and noticed that my taillight was broken and the right rear bed side was gouged from the tiallight up to and across the fender flares. Looking at the pattern I could tell the light was hit 1st and something was dragged up the bedside.

Hmmm, I parked where it could not have gotten hit... maybe the landscapers. Check with Maint Manager, Nope Landscapers were not on site.

Hmmm, reviewed the security tapes.. no one near the car all day.

Hmmm, took it to lunch, Nope doesn't make sense as I parked in a way that it could not have happened.

Hmmm, wife watched me leave for work this morning as she had not seen the truck since I detailed it and PTM'd the grill insert (I rolled it out of the garage and up into my shop without showing it to her)... She says it wasn't there at that point.

Hmmm, Bumper, flaps and tires did not get hit... so had to be someting waist high and fairly thin.

Hmm, Maybe I backed into one of my trees when I left for work... nope wife says it wasn't there..

Well no idea how it was done at this point.

Driving home I noticed that someone had whacked my neighbors Mailbox. Bummer, I wonder how that happened.

Wait! That is where I backed in to turn around 'cause my normal route is closed for construction!

So now, gotta hit the body shop for an estimate, stop by my neighbors place and arrange for getting his mailbox fixed. This is after spending the better portion of a week buffing out all the swirls and scratches and getting Dead Red looking the best she ever has been.

Anyone want to sell me a single tail?

How could you not feel or hear that you were scraping the side of your truck?

Maybe you should stay in the center of the lane and not on the curb.

Country roads do not have curbs... just dirt driveways

That's irrelevant. If your too far off center, bad things happen.
