Truck pulls

So our county fair is here and tonight was the tractor/truck pull. Interestingly enough somebody put a brand new f150 in the pull. He pulled before i got there i guess he made it like 80ft. Only gas truck in the drag. There was a nice about 07 cummins in the drags that snapped a drive shaft, that'd about **** a guy off. I think a duramax ended up winning. Sadly there was nobody reppin the ford except that f-150. a 6.0 went but the sled never moved on the trailer i think it was just a for fun run. I was suprised someone didn't put the 7.3 stroker in. Anyone else's county fair goin on? If s o anyone putting the ol pick em up truck in the mud drags or truck pulls?

Kinda how I feel. I'd love to my 01 f-150 with 35in Bf Goodrich Mud Terrains in but I'm afraid of either tearing something up or damageing the body. Plus for 10 minutes of enjoyment I'd have to spend 10 hrs cleaning the truck. Yeah the guy in the Cummins that broke the drive shaft, he didn't act too mad, if it was me i'd be in about tears ha.

drive shafts break all the time at pulls...

+ I would have to put my winter treads back on, instead of my polished Alcoa 20's! Stock Aluminum 17's with BFG 285x70x17 All Terrains, for any meaningful run down the track! I'm not ready to do that until November before the snow starts to fly!.....(LOL)

Been debating on pulling mine the last two years at the fair but too afraid to break but every year a rumble bee pulls fine without a problem so maybe next year

Yeah I know its just a drive shaft but still. BTW it was the kids own fault he got to wheel hoppin pretty bad and instead of shuttin er down he stomps on it and snap there went the drive shaft. I thought seriously about putting my truck in the mud drags but its a road queen ha. I don't wanna spend a whole day cleaning out the under carriage.

Actually its more likely a u-joint that fails before the driveshaft, which is a whole lot cheaper and easier to fix
