Am I just SOL???

I have a hinged tonneau cover from Sports Master I picked up off ebay a few years ago (The one with the gas shocks). I love it, paid $120 bucks for it and it has been extremely useful.

Anyway, over the winter during a move, I lost the passenger side rail. It only measures 10"s long. Here's a pic of the driver's side rail:

So, I finally got around to ordering the replacement part I need and come to find out the company went under. I have the serial # off of drivers rail, but does anyone have any ideas at all how to make this tonneau functional again?

Go to a fab shop, troll ebay, and check any local scrap yards for an f-150 with a sports master cover.

x2. That would be such a rare part to find laying around or for sale anywhere that it's going to save a lot of headaches to get a shop to machine you a new one. Shouldn't be too terribly expensive and if it makes your tonneau functional again, why not?

It's hard to see exactly how that part is constructed since it's a small picture, but it doesn't look like it would be too hard to fabricate.

I was thinking of a fab shop. But I wasn't sure if they would get the snaps to work correctly (get the buttons to line up, I can't even find replacement buttons...) I scoured everywhere and found an identical tonneau in the classifieds here, but it was sold. Didn't matter though, as I only needed the one piece.

I'll see what a fab shop says. I wonder how much it would be? Any idea? I have never had anything fabricated... Thanks

I'll assume that Sport Masters has gone OOB? If not, I'd definitely call them.

If they have or you can't find them (I couldn't with a quick search), I'd try one of the NUMEROUS places that are selling them online to see if one of those places may have a part -- or, a kit that was returned as damaged that they can't return to SM because maybe they're OOB...

There's one out there... somewhere. It's going to be a booger to find but, it's out there...

Yep. They are in fact OOB. I have a couple of on-line places to check tomorrow. I couldn't find out when they went OOB though, it might have been years ago. I hope I find one. Thanks for the input fellas.
