Computer guys, gimme your thoughts...
Gonna be building a computer for a buddy o mine soon. Have this set-up mapped out. He's not a gamer. Just going to be using it for general internet usage, along with storing tons of pictures (he takes a ton).

Would be going with a DVD burner also. Don't have one picked out, but thats not a big issue.

Definitely, but you could probably save your buddy some money if you hunted for better prices on those components.
Yes seagate over WD and really if he takes lots of pics a 1tb is cheap enough now that its the way to go, I also agree with jbm about the ram, I personally only run kingston but there are other makers of quality ram out there i just dont think the one you have picked is one of them.
10-4 on the ram and such. Got a link to some recommended stuff (HD and ram)? I basically built that computer in 5 mins on Newegg, just picked a case I liked and went from there.

Get Corsair, OCZ or Patriot memory. Agree on the Seagate HD over WD. I also recommend Intel w/ an Intel chipset... other chipsets, including the nForce chipsets, seem to lack stability unless you do some crazy cooling. Given it's a micro-ATX case, you could run into heating issues or a very loud machine.
I'm going to comment on everything but the processor and motherboard, because I don't build AMD's.
1. G.skill is very good ram.
2. Seagate has major quality and firmware issues right now, and they have shortened their warranty coverage to 3 years. The best HDD is now the WD Caviar Black - 32mb cache and a 5 year warranty.
3. If he's not gaming, he doesn't need a video card. The onboard video on that motherboard is VERY good, and the crap Apevia PSU in that little cube case can't handle a 9800 GT.

I've built many around ASUS motherboards. Love them. Why are you going with the micro? I wouldn't go that route unless you need to for some reason. Never heard of that RAM manufacturer, but it'll probably work.
And, like glc say's... If he's just going to surf the internet and stuff like that, you could save the money on the videocard.
Lastly, you show you're not a complete noob, just by going to NewEgg.
I always look there, first.

I'm not a complete n00b to building computers, but I've never bought all the stuff. I just put em together.

That onboard video has HDMI, it will feed the TV fine. You do not need a video card, it's a waste of money. You can always add one later if the onboard doesn't work out.
Trust me, G.skill is a major ram brand. It's just as good as Corsair, etc.

I have had too many issues with WD support to ever buy one again. Most recently, I owned 2 37GB Raptor drives when they first came out which I ran in a stripe set for the additional speed. When I had to return one (broken SATA connector), they exchanged it with a 40GB model that is only OEM'd through Dell. This made it impossible to do the stripe anymore, and purchasing another 40GB version through Dell would have cost me $180. I tried multiple times to get them to give me a 37GB version again and they refused.
Longer ago, back when a 1GB hard drive was a big deal, I had called WD to replace it because it went bad (actually, a 1.2GB HD). Ten months later, this refurbished drive failed again. When I called for another replacement, they told me that the replacement only had a 90 day warranty. I pointed to the fact that the replacement drive was STILL covered under their 3 year warranty of the original drive. They then asked me for the serial number of the drive I replaced 10 months prior, of course I didn't have this. And, of course, they didn't have a record of my previous RMA, so they wouldn't help me.
