Just rented the movie Defiance this weekend. It is good under the radar movie. It has WWII plot and is a story about survival. Also, doesn't get carried away with the special effects. I recommend it along with the movie Taken.

 

Defiance is based on a true story from WWII. It tkaes place in Bellarussio when the Germans invaded and went on a Jew killing binge. This is the story of the survivors and how they lived in the forrests. It centers on brothers and how they go about caring for the thousand or so people with them and fighting the Germans. The brothers and the people do survive the war and the brothers came to the USA where they had a trucking company. You get to see the actual pics of the folks at the end of the movie. I give it an 8 out of 10 as being one worth seeing. If you have high speed internet, watch here:

The website is usually slow at night but it will load. The movie is in DivX format and you'll need the DivX player which means it is in great quality

Taken is also another good one and is worth the watch.

 

Labnerd speaks the truth. It is a good movie. The knocks on it are it starts a bit slow and is a little longer than the average movie. However, as long as you don' watch it right before bed, you should be just fine. I thought it was a classy movie by the two brothers (main characters in the movie) that they had never sought out any attention or acclaim for their story.
