Thinking Of Purchasing
We are currnetly in search of a new truck. Looking at the 250 since we wish to haul a camper. So I am looking for opinions from real owners, pors and cons of owning a vechilce like yours. All brands seems to have there faults but some are just down right scarey. Yeah i just visited the chevy lemon site and I onw a dodge (made me shudder). Thanks
How big is the camper that you're going to pull, and do you want a diesel? The F150 is great, I have the 4.6 Supercab model automatic and I pull a 16 foot, a 21 foot, and sometimes a 31 foot boat with no problems at all. One of my friend has an F250 Light Duty (same body as the F150, I guess with heavier suspension and stuff like that) with the 5.4, and he was very happy with his. When I bought my truck, I took my car to the dealer, and he let me keep it for the entire weekend before I decided on whether or not I liked it (it only took 5 minutes to know), but my suggestion is find a used truck similar to the one you are wanting to buy, and see about using it for the weekend like that, test it out with your camper, see how you like the way it pulls, and if you like it, take it back and say that you'd rather have a new one because you want warranty. If you do get a Ford, come back for any info that you need at all, this is a great place, and I learn something new about my truck every day. There are great people here, and most all of them are friendly and eager to help in any way that they can. Most of the local farmers and race teams pull with the F350 dually, it runs about 44,000 with the Lariat package, and it is beautiful. My uncle has one, and has 130,000 miles with 0 problems so far. It is a 2000 model PSD Supercab dually, a beautiful truck, and it is way strong. If it's not huge, the 150 should do fine, I never had a problem towing at all, but if it's a big hoarking camper, the 250 may be the best way to go. Good luck!

Pros of Superduty:
-IMO, best looking truck on the market
-can basically pull anything anywhere
-they sit up high for good visibility
-roomy interior
-everyone who doesn't have one envies you
(OK, maybe not)
Cons of Superduty:
-sometimes makes for tight parking
-you won't get 30mpg no matter how many mods you make
-doesn't seem to be quite as many aftermarket goodies to choose from (8 lug wheels, etc)
-stock handling can leave a little to be desired
