I know what you mean on the giant phones. All I want is a phone with a decent camera and one that doesn't make a huge bulge in my pocket. I loved my Razr, that thing was tough. I dropped it tons of times climbing out of my jeep, and it worked fine. Battery took a crap, so I figured I would try something else. I now have a sony ericson. It is a decent phone. No problems with it really. It is just barely thicker then the razor, so it is pocket friendly. It doubles as an mp3 player as well. Just put in a memory card, and you can store music. It also has internet, I couldn't tell you how good though b/c I don't use it. Only thing I don't like about it is that its a slider. I prefer flip phones to prevent unwanted calling, but aslong as you make sure the lock is on, you're good to go.

I love my BB Pearl. Quite small, yet as powerful as any BB. Just needs a larger screen. But if you don't want to pay for data (yes, $30/mo) how about the Lg Dare? Bar phones will generally be smaller than flips. check out www.phonescoop.com phone finder to compare sizes.

Since 2007, I've owned (in order):
  • PalmOne Treo 600 - Palm OS
  • PalmOne Treo 650 - Palm OS
  • HTC TYTN - Windows Mobile
  • BlackBerry Pearl - BlackBerry OS
  • BlackBerry Curve - BlackBerry OS
  • BlackBerry Bold - BlackBerry OS

And now I'm waiting on the BlackBerry Storm 2 to come out before switching. The Treo's were good, but ended up freezing every now and then and generally did not have the features I wanted.

The HTC was crap, constantly freezing and having Windoze brain farts. I have had a Blackberry now for just over a year and, unless something major happens in the technology world, I won't be going back to anything else.

The Pearl had major problems with corrupt databases and required frequent troubleshooting. The Curve was good, very few problems and had GPS. My only issue was the lack of WiFi. Now I have a Bold and passed my Curve on to my fiance (who got rid of the Pearl). The Bold is great, the high definition screen makes internet and video watching a good experience. My only complaint with the Bold is that the GPS can take a while to get a lock.

I've had my BB Bold for a week now. It took a bit to get used to. Some of the settings aren't exactly the easiest to find but once you know it's fine. My favorite phone to date. Zero problems so far. Good video, acceptable camera, amazing screen. Much quicker than my HTC Tilt.
