Nah!
I'm still paying for my youth

I want to do it, but not by myself, lol.

I can't get no one to go with me. My boss is the only one to seem remotely interested in wanting to try it, but he says he's scared of heights which is pretty funny.

I went once. Hung over as hell. Once I hit the ground I felt like a million bucks. Hangover was gone. I'd do it again in a minute. You only live once might as well make it fun...

It was the single biggest thrill I have ever had. 1st time was over Canon City, awesome. The 2nd time, was over the Pacific ocean in Hawai'i. Climbed up to about 12,000 feet and jumped through and overcast layer at about 6,000. It was freakin amazing.

As I said, some experience , just makes things happen a little slower
That is true. But just like flying you still have to do ground and learn the basics of landing. and the only way to learn to land a plane is do it. Yes in a plane you have someone with you but they are just a backup.

Me i say solo. Just come in slow and after a few times then start going faster.

I guess price depends on where you are at. In San Diego it cost me in the high 4's to jump solo and have a video taken. No tandem jumps were required, just a class that took over half the day. But that may depend on where you jump at as well.

I was trying to point out, that a soft parachute landing depends on when you flare. If you do it to soon, you hit the ground harder.
Like doing an auto rotation on a helicopter, If you pull the collective to soon, you'll make an expensive landing.
