You are twisted, JK, LOL. That's the funniest thing I've seen in two weeks. I gotta remember that one.

I just put in my toolbox a little while ago and I've had no problem filling it up. My friends called me **** because of how much stuff is in there vs. how organized it is. I've got a 5-gallon thing of gas (I go on lots of long trips and always seem to find people that have run out of gas, or I find myself in a scary situation as sometimes theres no open gas stations in the middle of the night), a tub of cleaning supplies (tire cleaner, wheel cleaner, wd-40, armor all, quick detailer, window cleaner, lots of rags and paper towels), one of spare fluids (oil, tranny fluid, brake fluid, gear fluid, etc. [you never know what you'll need and when]), as well as jumper cables, a tow strap, a battery-powered drill, my toolbag, wrenches, a portable air compressor, and a few other miscellaneous things. That's the toolbox in my truck.
As for the toolbox in my house, it has almost nothing in it because all of my tools are in my truck (thats where I'll always need em right?)

I use mostly Craftsman.

My most important tools are
7mm socket with built in flex joint
1/4 inch socket drive with tons of extensions
telescopic magnetic pickup tool
3/8 socket drive with lots of extensions, flex jiont, and spark plug socket

Anyone who has ever changed the spark plugs with the coil pacs will understand.

Subtle and temporary shift of topic, but sort of related question to Craftsmen tool owners...

I have a cordless Craftsmen drill that will no longer hold a charge...does Sears really honor its warranty...can I walk into any Sears store and have it fixed or replaced without a hassle?

TIA.

Steve, depends on what the warranty of the drill is. Keep in mind their lifetime warranty only applies to hand tools, such as sockets, wrenches, hammers, etc. And oh yes, I use only craftsman tools (except for some of the weird tools that craftsman doesn't make, like o2 sensor sockets, etc.)

By the way, I also have to keep all kinds of wiring stuff with me. I wired up many sets of lights before realizing they made a tool to strip the wires easier... holy crap it was like some sort of a godsend . That wire stripper tool has been the best $10 I think I've spent in a long time. Got the several hundred piece terminals/connectors kit, the wire stripper, the wire crimper, the solder gun, etc.

By the way, who else keeps a 5 pound roll of solder with em? LOL I think that's the biggest roll I've ever used and so forth I think I've gone through maybe two ounces of solder with all my lights, CB radios, etc. If I ever get through that whole roll, it will be some sort of a miracle.

I think mattadams is right the "forever" warranty applies to hand tools. Their power tools usually have like a 1,2, or 5 year warranty I think. Try it though, sometimes you will be very surprised at what they will do for you.

Matt
Where and how much was your toolbox? If handy I would like to know the dimensions as well. I would like to find one that opens from the front instead of top so I could mount it under my bed tarp at the rear in front of the tailgate. I have found one made by Better Built but no one who sells them. Thanks

That box is the better built. I got it at 4-wheel parts, but pretty much anyone that carries toolboxes might carry better built and can probably order it in for you. It is 36"x18". It opens on the top though.

Aside from the point, when I was looking at toolboxes, I saw an excellent looking system if you've got the dough (I really wanted it until I saw the price), made by craftsman, 36" wide, has tracks that go along the length of the bed, so the toolbox can be held securely to the bed, but easily moved from the back of the bed to the front and visa versa, while still being locked down in place. ABout $2000 for the box and tracks though, WAY to rich for my blood.

Thanks Matt

We sell better built at work but only the truck boxes, for some reason we can not get the tool chest's. I'll keep checking around. Yeah 2000 $ for the sliding toolbox would be a bit too high, about 1800 to high.

I got something new in my truck toolbax today

Water Apparently sometime this summer I developed a crack where the hinges mount. This sucks big time. Oh well, I guess this gives me an excuse to go out and buy a new one that is nicer.
