You think that is expensive try changing them on diesel once and you will think you got a deal. I am in no way complaining because I dont have the time to do this my self even though I have the know how and the place to do it.

Also it is filled with oil to the bottom hole on dip stick. Is this correct?

The only real reason I will be going there is for cheap oil changes with good oil & filter that I don't have to discard the oil. The guy said next service I should rotate tires. The tires are brand new and have about 6K miles before rotation. You can't blame them for drumming up business just don't agree to all of their suggestions.

I was including time to find and put away my line removal tool, a few rags and a small pan to collect any leaking gas. Plus I move about 1/2 speed compared to a pro mechanic!

Honestly, it makes sense for a shop to have 1/2 hour minimum for shop time, because they have to keep records of the transaction, take responsibility if something goes wrong, etc.... so I'm not surprised they charged the OP what they did, even though the job is very easy to do.

They might lose money on the $19.99 oil change, just so they can get you in the door for this kind of service.

No it should be at least half way between the two if not closer to the upper one they put just enough oil in your truck. You also want to make sre that it isn't to far over the upper hole because you can do damage that way to. I would add a 1/2-1qt and not go back.

the $20 oil change was fair.

You are only paying them like $3.50 to change your oil.

Yea, but that's for the Scam... er, I mean Fram isn't it? Orange is not my favorite color. If you have ever seen their products cut apart and compared to decent stuff, I wonder why anyone would use 'em.
