Do you think I share the blame?
kenster the car riding in my blind spot was the jerk as he was riding there for many miles I forgot he was there when I went to pass a car going slower than the limit and seen nothing in my miorrs so I figured it was safe to change lanes when I hear the jerks horn go off.
This was very heavy to read thiese posts today, maybe its the price og gas that has all on edge???. All i can do is suggest finding a long rough backroad and go play then relax....................

My least favorite situation on the road is the person hanging just to the right or left off your back bumper. IMO It is very unsafe to be in that position, and I avoid it whenever possible. Likewise is driving directly beside someone on the highway, makes me nervous as hell. My next favorite is...."turn signal means floor it so you can get by the person wanting to change lanes".... I have learned to just put the signal on,and wait for the idiot to blast by,so I can then change lanes. Defensive driving is your only option most of the time
Has anyone else noticed how wide the windshield(Apillars)are on these trucks? I have almost hit people crossing the street, simply because they were completely hidden by them,,pretty scary in my book,,,pucker factor 10,lol

Sounds like not much you could have done. If I'm visualizing things correctly, seems like the Honda was clearly all to blame.
I tend to agree, the sides really don't have to much of a blind spot. Although, when someone runs up the rear and it's dark out it sure is tough in my opinion. Between the slight tint and the headlights hiding under your bumper, it's a combination that leads to trouble. Been there, done that, many years ago.
My NJ license recently expired, figured I take care of it when I passed through there (bad me). Then it dawned on me, might not be able to rent a car when needed if they see the expiration date. So off to the Nevada DMV I went this week.
Well, I have a CDL Class A so I had to take all the tests, i.e general knowledge, air brakes, combinations, passenger etc...they wouldn't just transfer it because it expired over 30 days ago.
The funny thing is one of the questions of the general automobile test talked about lane changing and blind spots. It specifically stated to turn your signal on and look over your shoulder because of the blind spots. It's a natural habit for me, doesn't everyone?
