Dewayne,

Oh, OK. I couldn't tell you where Screwking got his price. The pricing that I received in the mail was considerably higher than that also: 6yr/75,000mi ExtraCare for $1,380 as an example [2000 F-250SD 4x4]. Of course, my original dealer would beat that price when I talked to them (down to about $1,095), but Gene's price blew that out of the water. If I had to guess (and I am) Screwking probably got that price through a dealer.

I'm nothing but confused. Reading all these posts it seems your not comparing apples to apples. The price I got was from the guy that sells more ESP for Ford than anyone in the country. He makes $40.00 on any level warranty he sells. This quote was for my Screw, not a Scab, not a SD250, not for 5/75K, not 6/75K, but for 6/100K. If someone finds a better quote for my truck for the same coverage thats a Ford ESP I'll buy it, for I've yet to puchase one. I don't wear any rings except the one my bride shackled me with.

Buy the Ford Extended warranty
it is a lot less headaches for those of
us who work at the dealerships, you are also covered anywhere in North America...any Ford
dealer...no putting money up-front to get the repais done...we deal with ge capital, ryan/fada guard and some otheres....nothing beats Ford extended

I don't agree, there may be some good Ford dealers out there and if so good for them, but my extended warranty lets me go to any shop I want, So I can take it to a guy that I know will fix it right, I took it to the dealer for the pitman arm, they did replace it, but did not do a alighnment, So back to the dealer a second time, I also had the rear end fix at the dealer, Looking back now I wish I took it to a rear end specialist. At least I would have had less grease all over the tuck and center console and finished in less then 3 days..

Ford Extended warranty is easy on the dealer and more of a pain in butt for the owner unless you live next to a dealer.

my 2 cents

Even if you sell your truck, you could actually make it a selling point since it can be transferred to the new owner. Look at it this way, a person goes out to buy a used truck. He sees two that are similar. Yours has the extended warranty. Which truck will be more desireable?

ScrewKing,

I realize we are not comparing apples to apples. After all, I don't drive an apple! Seriously though, I tried to provide a point of reference to the savings I received by showing the price included on the brochure I received in the mail and the price I got through Gene Louder. It doesn't do me any good to get a quote on a 6yr/100,000 mile warranty on a Screw when I don't drive one. Instead, if I give you the list and discount price on the warranty I am interested in for my truck, it may give you some idea of the savings you might encounter. Hope that clears things up some.
