Red face 10,000 MILES!!!!!! in 8 Months!!!!

Well, I finally hit 10,000 miles this morning on my way to work. I have only had my truck since Sept 11th, 2000. I have no complaints other than an annoying suspension squeak in the rear. I love my "Ferd Truuck"

lariat, I purchased my vehicle in late January (about four months ago) and I've put about 18,000 miles on it so far. Good thing I don't have a lease! Yikes!
It doesn't help I have a 30-mile each way commute to work each day, I go to school 30 miles from my house (opposite direction) and have driven cross-country twice now (once to Arizona, once to Indiana).
If I were on a lease, I'd owe more at the end of the lease because of excess mileage then the worth of the vehicle I'm quite certain.

Thumbs up

After 25 months, 35,000. I have about one month to decide on an extended warranty. Based on the past two years, I'm not going to get one so, soon I'll be 'working without a net'. No piston slap, vibrations, sqeaks, grunts, groans or leaks and the radiator is as big as a house. I guess if I was to have a catastrophic failure some indication would have surfaced by now.

I reckon my truck must be as good as Steve's (webmaster). You ever noticed that in a quarter million posts he has never registered a single compliant?

No wonder you guys aren't in chat that often! Okay - do this - turn the truck OFF, put down the keys & back in the house slowly. Stop when you reach the computer, log on & come chat! LOL!

Umm....sorry CL, but isn't that the entire reason this site even exists? If we spend all of our time on the site, and not in/around our trucks....what's the point?

Geez, where are y'all driving to?? I've had my truck since Nov. 99, and I only have 20,000 on it. I guess I'm trying to save the warranty on it, but now I'm tryin to get rid of it because of all the stuff I want to do, I don't want to have to worry about it.
