Question Too many users

Do any of you get this error message on your browser while on this site:

HTTP Error 403
403.9 Access Forbidden: Too many users are Connected.

This error can be caused if the Web server is busy and cannot process your request due to heavy traffic. Please try to connect again later.

I seem to only get this while at work. Ummm, using company resources for recreational use..... Anyway, I'm the System Admin for our office anyway. I've checked with our ISP and they don't report any problems. I don't get this message from home. Not really looking for any answers, just polling to see if anyone else has experienced it.

Thanks,

I've never gotten that error. Are you going through a proxy?

Thanks for the information nomo and 2000FordStyle. I am using Proxy Server 2.0, Bridged DSL/768kbs. I have not tried it directly from the server yet. Maybe that will tell me something?

Sounds like you're bottle necking. I'd definately try connecting from the server.

I'm guessing there's a cache operating somewhere and that's your bottleneck.

I tried from the server and got the same error. It seems to consistantly do it if I hit the "refreash" button on the browser.

The browser has two NIC's. One for the internet and one for the internal network. Very strange.

I guess it's just time to post this on one of Microsofts Newsgroup sites.

Thanks again for the responses. It at least tells me that it's probably my end and it's just some stupid setting buried deep in the server.

I think the connection goes through the proxy software even from the server itself. I've not gotten that message (ever), but I know it's common for proxy-server users.
