Well the way I see it is the police don't normally make traffic stops for "reasonable" amounts of tint. Usually a ticket for tint is written after being pulled over for speeding or some other "more important" violation. If the tint is like factory or lighter, you probably won't get pulled over just for tint. I just ordered the RVinyl headlight and taillight tint, looking forward to doing that..should look pretty sweet on my black truck.

well one thing thats clear is cops down south could really care less about tint, or less compared to northerners. down here in Florida, you have to have some type of tint to save your interior. HAVE TO. now when you guys see my pics your gonna be like your a moron, punk, not safe to the community, etc. i don't care, been driving with this for two years, never had A SINGLE TICKET. any type of ticket, been pulled over three times. when i get pulled over, i put my windows down, i have nothing to hide and definitely don't want a cop feeling uncomfortable. cop once tried to search my truck because i reached for my glove box as he approached me, i was getting my registration, i explained that and he let me go, i wouldn't have let him search my truck. Also filling up with gas one time in our little town, cop walks up to me and asks me where he should get his done and how dark to go. i told him what i thought, limo all the way with 50 on the windshield. he complemented my tint. said the only way he will give that ticket is if they get a serious moving violation or are *** holes. its just the way it is down here.

here is mine. double limo.

Wow that looks good, I've been thinking of tinting my door windows. If I do, I think I'll go with the percentage that the smoked rear window is, whatever that is, so that it can be the same..hopefully it wouldn't be too dark to attract negative attention.

thanks!

the rears are 18% or so. so if you do 15% or 20% you will be really close. i screwed up when i did mine. the first layer of limo was slightly more reflective then the second. so its a little shinier from outside. drives me insane.

5% is limo in texas not double limo

i have 5% all around the back 3 windows and 20 on the front two to keep it legal for now. when i replace my windshield thats getting done since its the only place that the sun gets in to heat up the truck.

driving at night is all good until i get in town. in parking lots and what not its not all that bad, because its lit, but it can get difficult. im really used to it so its no problem. i still love them. backing up generaly isnt the issue. its backing up in the rain lol. but in two years i have backed into only one thing, a damned shopping cart. All of my vehicles will have tint. about to do my gf's car with limo and 50% on windshield. her dad loves the idea of tint.

but like i said, florida + sun = bad.

I took it all off when I restored my mach I. I did like it on the back window and should have it redone.

thats true jake. I get so many compliments on the tint its not even funny. when i originally got limo all the way i loved it, but then i noticed you could see in on sunny days. "oh hell no". was planning on just getting a layer of 15 on the fronts to match the rears and to darken it just enough but he didnt have any so i had him just throw some limo all the way. did the second layer for only fifty bucks.

I have 2.5% on my sunroof, 5% on my back and rear sides, and 10% on my front sides...nothing on the windshield yet, but it is more and more tempting every time i get in it
