Indeed, I am very blessed and very thankful. It's funny because it's our human nature to be thankful to be alive...yet as a Christian, I know when I die I will go to a better place (Heaven).

I ended up walking away with 3 crushed lumbar disc (still not back surgery 10 years later, but no real issues, discomfort every now and then), 7 herniated disc in my neck, compressed spinal cord (which has thankfully gone down, got tired of my body going numb every time I sneezed), tore the ligament in my right pinky (they fixed that), and broke my jaw in 3 places. I also had swelling in the frontal lobe of my brain, but I'm o.k. now.

I think next to the back, breaking my jaw is by far one of the worst experiences I have had. They wire your jaw shut and run metal cable around the roots of your teeth to make sure it doesn't move. Everything you eat is out of a straw. I lost about 20 lbs (I only weighed 150 back then LOL, I'm 220 now I could use a 20 lbs loss). I didn't have any cavities and then after that had 12 all on the inside because I couldn't brush there.

In the end, very grateful though.

Failure to stop in assured clear distance and I manged to total two cars on that one and I wasnt driving either of them I will let you figure that one out on your own. And then I got one in a company p/u doing 73 in a 55 but the officer wrote it for 65 in a 55 because I didnt make him chase me. Then the craziest on I have got was excessive tire noise when I lit the tires up with a cop behind me that I didnt see.

I got a ticket for 73 in a 45 back in 1992 on US 231 just south of Dothan, AL. I was driving my dad's Firebird back from a buddy's wedding. We stopped at my girlfriend's uncle's house to have lunch. He had a sweet late 60's Chevelle. He showed me the way back to the highway and then we raced a little on 231. He slowed down to turn around and I just coasted over a hill. There was a cop coming the other way in a late 70's Dodge Diplomat. I ended up getting a flat rate $68 ticket. I paid it through the mail but it never did make it on my record as far as points. I don't think they even had computers there.

My only other ticket is 22 years of driving was a 63 in a 55 in my '94 Mustang GT. The kicker was that they raised the speed limit on that same road (SR 408 east of Orlando) a week later to 65.

OK I have two (BS ones). The first was when I was traveling beside of a cop and the light turned yellow. We both went through. Of Course he pulls me over and proceeds to tell me how brazen I am for running a red light beside a cop. (I did ask how I could have ran the light and he didnt. He wrote me a ticket anyway) I took him to court. I just showed up (The cop was there) and the DA called me over and threw out the case before i ever saw the judge.

In Wilmington, NC, me and my now wife were parking in downtown to go out to eat. There was a DEADEND side street with parking down one side. I drove down the street turned around and parked on the opposite side of the street facing the direction I would go later on. We get out, I feed meter and we go eat (We walked around some being we were on vacation and we were just checking everything out). We get back and I have a parking ticket for "parking in the wrong direction".

Ticket's, way back in the muscle car day's before most of you were born. Well ,except for Bluejay! I managed to get 5 in one night. Speeding (80 in a 45), Reckless driving (drag racing) illegal exhaust (open headers) illegal tires (slick's) expired inspection sticker. Had to get a lawyer to help straighten the mess up because I had 6 previous speeding and drag racing ticket's before. Also my insurance company dropped coverage on my car and I got a letter from the state that they were going to revoke my driver's license. I ended up selling my beloved '66 GTO and straightened my driving record up. Luckily I've had no chargable accident's since I've been driving (licenced in late 1962) and have driven close to 1,250,000 miles accident free. And no speeding ticket's since 1972! I also drove a gasoline tanker for over 12 yrs and received numerous safe driving award's while doing so. Goes to show some of the worst driver's can be reformed!

I'm pretty sure I havnt had one this decade.
I used to get them when I was a young whipper snapper.
Now I'm just a snapper without the whip.

I got a 160 in a 100 zone once, that was expensive.
I like having my insurance at the lowest possible price.

I've been pulled over about 7 or 8 times in the past 3 years for various violations (speeding, improper lane changed), but I haven't gotten anything so far. No written warning, no tickets, nothing. I've either known the cops, or my plates got me out of the tickets.

Sorry, my bad.
160 kph in 100 kph zone

in mph that would be getting caught doing 100 in a 60.
It was still bad.

It was supposed to be $9.75 for each kilometer over the limit ($9.75 x 60 = $585 bucks) + 30 day suspension, and 3 demerit points.

I was able to plead it down to 39 over which was only a fine of $299, no suspension and 2 points)

I still speed but only do about 12 mph over the limit max if I'm on a 60 mph highway. I dont think the coppers really bug you for 12 over. not here in Canada anyway.

I'll give you 15mph in Texas. 10mph in residential/neighborhoods.
