Damn, I missed another one. Never did find out what happened April Fools Day! What did this Last Church guy do?

same here. what did he do? guess i missed it.

 

Okay - in a nutshell, Last Church started 2 different threads about synthetic oils, calling those who don't use them idiots, morons, jerks - totally uncalled for. Then he altered our ID's - I became sowlady & slowlady - that didn't bother me because I am bigger than that. BUT when he left detailed, descriptive & vulagr remarks, that's when I blew. I will say it again - I am not the site police, nor am I out to have people banned who disagree with me but I am & always behave, as a lady & a responsible poster. Considering the large # of minor's & other women who frequent this site, as well as all the respectful men here I had to alert Steve to the posts. Yes - I asked if the threads could be pulled & if something could be done about it. Fortunately we have a webmaster who cares as much about the members here as he does about the site. It was w/in maybe 1 hour & Last "oozed" his last here! LOL & !
Now - April's Fool Day was quite a creative prank. Steve "announced" the site would no longer be totally free & that to acees the Message Boards we'd have to sign up & pay for a membership. He even provided a "link" to Paypal should we choose to sign up - of course the link led to a page wishing us a Happy April's Fool Day! If we chose not to sign up & picked that link it led to the same page. Needless to say it caused quite a stir here! It made me realize that Steve is someone to keep an eye on - we never know what he may do next! ROFL!
Hope this helps explain things - trust me, as far as anything concerning Last, you didn't miss ANYTHING worthwhile.

HA I remember that prank LOL I never clicked so fast to a "ENTER HERE" link in my life LOL

 

Church was just trying to get his message out. By creating a flaming post he attracted more visitors.

It didn't matter that he may r may not have owned a Ford truck. His group MAKES MONEY BY SELLING AMSOIL PRODUCTS. It right on his website. And if I read my browser correctly, his customer number is 304333. When you click on the link to Amsoil from his website he gets money!

I'm just glad that Cowlady and the sysadmin were quick to stop his message. It's great that we have good people on this board.

Thanks again guys. I don't want to be thought of as some kind of site police BUT I also want to preserve the integrity of this site. I feel it's too important a place to ever lose due to some irresponsible members.
I also am concerned because we have MANY women & minors who surf this site. The comment's Last made were not appropriate for these groups - they come here to learn about their trucks, not vulgarity.
Looks like Last blew it for himself. Well, perhaps next time he'll learn that a responsibly worded post will get more POSITIVE attention & re-think his "business" tactics. Good riddance to bad rubbish IMHO.
