Haha nice, but they can only keep that as a pet for so long.

Man, that brings back memories. I LOVE Potbellies. I kept one from the size of Kingsford, all the way up. My pigs name was Stimpy, and he was totally part of the family. Cleaner, and in many ways, smarter than a dog. Yes... he slept in the bed with us ;-)

Oh, and yes, like the video shows, pigs are VERY talkative. Squeals, squeaks, grunts, groans, and even barks...... all for different moods and occasions :-)

Wish I'd have been more into photography / video back when we had ours :-(

Anyway, here's a couple of lousy, scanned from polaroid, shots of Stimpy.
Maybe just a little bigger than Kingsford here... at about 8 lbs

Just about full grown here... 35lbs or so... Laying around on the couch being lazy. Must have just eaten.

Peace,
Fish

PS, Hey JBMX, we kept ours for 15 years (his whole life).

Funny video.

You can keep pigs as long as you want. I'd just get him fat and slaughter him though.

I know your just playing, but seriously, Potbellies have such a great / strong personality, that if you have even a slight tendency to become attached to pets (like a dog) you would surely get attached to a pig.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love dogs, but their is no doubt about it > pigs are WAAAY smarter. The only difference is, dogs will use their limited intelligence to do whatever they possibly can to make their owners happy..... While pigs will use their greater intelligence to do whatever they can to make "themselves happy" :-) Kind of like a cat in that respect, I guess.

Peace,
Fish

PS, Just trivia I guess, but my pig would eat asbsolutely ANYTHING, except cauliflower and yellow squash....... just about the only two things I won't eat either. My ex used to say, like father, like son ;-) LOL
