Question Need new bucket seats - where to find them?

The seats in our truck are old and worn out. I hate the 'flip up' passenger seat and could not wait to yank that thing out. Now it seems finding good quality bucket seats (captain's chairs), that slide forward, for an '87 F250HD truck is not such an easy task. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find quality seats without paying the devil & Ford for them, we would sure appreciate the info.

Michael

Off topic, but, is this a personal vehicle or is this for DEPT. use?

This is a POV that will attend shows and respond to fire/ems calls. The department is not involved in this project. If you like, I can send you more info in a pdf that kind of explains how this whole thing got started.

Cool

Were you a firefighter at Loring in 88? I was stationed there from 86-90. I had a sliver and red Chevy and Lived on Owens Dr.

In some cases, they aren't any easier to find for a 99 F-series. Try www.salesco.com for some good aftermarket seats.

Firezap, I was a cop at Loring. If you were there, you had to have seen my truck around. I lived in the dorms. I can't remember the name of them. It was the cop dorm closest to the chow hall. Amazing that I can see it in my mind, but can't rember the names of the buildings. Anyway, I used to go out four wheeling in the potato fields quite a lot and 4wheel along the old Bangor & Aroostook Railroad line from Caribou up north. The town was on the way to Madawaska.

Exclamation

I found seats!!! I'll have more info in a few days and I'll post a note here and on our website for anyone that has gone through the frustration of trying to find good quality bucket seats that fit without a lot of modifications.
