I am looking for a tailgate with all internal parts that work.

I have an 85 Maroon Ford F-150
A tailgate from 1980-1986 should work

Hi still - I don't know if it will help but you can try Yahoo Ford clubs. There are a few for older model trucks.
Go to www.yahoo.com & then to Clubs. Now, using quotation marks search for "Ford trucks" & you should find a few covering your year truck. I don't know if they have a classifieds or not but if anyone would know where to point you, they would! If you want, you can email me & I'll see if any of my friends can add any suggestions. My address is Cowlady18@cs.com. Also, you can stop in chat & maybe 1 of those guys have an idea. We are there every night around 9 or 9:30 DST.

Have you looked in junk yards you could end up lucky and find one in good shape. Or you could go to some Ford classic truck sites and see if you can find one there.
