I don't buy "police brutality" in these matters either. You wanna mob? Fine.....I wanna pull out my Intertech and hose you down while you're rioting. The reason? Dead people don't riot. The moment you start rioting, I believe you lose all credibility and should lose your "civil rights" due to the fact that you AREN'T being civil. You're being a criminal and criminal acts should be met with the severest form of punishment possible.

I agree with Matt wholeheartedly. "Minorities" (which outnumber caucasian folks damn near 50:1) are often the first to riot, destroy their OWN property, bitch about police brutality, bitch about the fact that their homes where destroyed in their rioting and then FURTHER bitch when the government won't give them money to rebuild! Jesu Christi talk about hypocrisy to the nines!

Rant... turned ON

I used to have a buddy who was a sheriff at the local police department. Blacks were upset because they felt they were being singled out for arrests of drug possession. I always got a laugh out of some of the stories he'd tell me. Typically if he arrested a "white boy" for marijuana, its because he had a little baggy with him, and it came out while arresting him for some other traffic violation. He had arrested black people that he just been in the car behind them adn they started throwing pounds of it out the window, he didn't even think anything of it until they started throwing out marijuana and trying to get away at 100 miles an hour! LOL. you see it on cops too, most of the people they arrest are because there blatant about it (I.e. a joint behind the ear, or clothes stuffed with packages of marijuana) not because they are black.
I also agree with the other person who talked about them destroying their own property... there was a black person here in colorado a few months back who had burned crosses into own yard and claimed the KKK had come and tried to burn his house down and hang him. As it turns out many witness included two police officers saw him pouring down charcoal lighter in his own front yard. Why do they do this? Who knows...
But yeah, they riot businesses that are started by there own kind, hell possibly even their own relatives business because a riot is a good excuse for free stuff. Then when it turns out these businesses loose all their inventory, go out of business and have to cut many blacks jobs, the blacks say they are being unfairly treated because all of the jobs in their neighborhoods are moving to richer communities. <sigh> Not only are they destroying themselves but they are making people MORE racist against the idiots. As always, its not all of them. Its 1% that make the other 99% look bad. If I heard of a white friend of mine that was going and beating up black people or something, I'd kick his *** and turn him into the cops, because he's making white people look bad. I think they oughtta do the same thing.

Rant... off.

deepblue,

I feel sorry for you, that you have a curfew and all. I deeply feel sorry for a society that can cry foul when one of theirs is shot by a police officer in the line of duty. I sure am glad we don't have that ***** here in Canada. Only time we risk being shot in the back is running from the husband. Hope it ends soon.

Regards

by the way... one more comment on this... if anyone was rioting in my hometown and my neighborhood, I don't care if they are white or black, I would shoot to kill. And if you don't get scared away by the dead bodies in front of my house, I've got plenty more ammo inside...
I was watching video of that on the news and my thoughts were confirmed, these people have no idea what there even looting about.

I live in Lebanon and work in cincy, on wed. my dispatcher ask me on the phone how things were and I told him I'd been listening to the news on the radio all day and it seemed pretty quite at the time(early afternoon). He said he had a pickup in the over the rhine section of town where the rioting was going on so I said I'd check it out since the news was reporting all was quite at the time. Well I made my pickup and everything was cool tillI was on my way out of the rhine district. I turned down a street and came up to an intersection and found myself smackdab in the middle of a large group of urban youths milling around in the sreets about 100 or so of them and more damm cops than I've ever seen in one place at one time! Thank god the cops where there! I was looking around and noticed I waas attracting some attention from some of the yutes who were yelling at others and motioning in my direction. I guess because the cops were there, coming from every direction, The yutes considered it too risky to mess with me and I was quickly assessing the situation and decided the best solution was a quik exit so I eased thru a red light even though the intersection was filled with cars, cops, and protesters. Ten minutes earlyer I'd eyeballed this same intersection on my way to the pickup and there wasnt a sole in sight. I'm just glad there were so many cops around or I could have been in some deep *&@# real fast!

Fortunately it looks like the curfews have worked and the riots are over....for now. The protests are still going on and will be for quite some time. I predict it will be a long hot summer this year. I think it may be wise to stay outta downtown for awhile. Thank goodness I live on the eastside and work in Mason so I don't have to go near the riot areas.

Thank god you had the "Rev. Al Sharpton" come to town, becuase we all know he has a strong history of bringing people together in a productive manner. He's a real work of art.

Cool

I plan on taking a long lunch and go to talk to the great reverend, then I am going to go swim in the river.(that will actually make me feel clean after talking to that guy)

I wish these people would let us solve these problems on a local level. No one but us knows the whole story on the 15 people killed. I am tired of hearing just the line "15 blacks have been killed by police in Cincinnati". They do not know that they all had past records or warrants and that 13 of them had some kind of weapon.

Because heaven forbid that cops protect themselves or other people!

Here are the stories of how each of the black men died by the hands of police. http://www.cincinow.com/specials/cit.../story46.shtml There are a couple that do warrant investigation, but the vast majority are obviously completely justified. To bad the majority of the media doesn't like to cover the full story.

I think I'd rather have a swarm of locusts then have Jesse the consulting adulterer come to my town. Everytime I see him, I still picture him from the 60's/70's wearing no shirt and a leather vest and being an a$$.

Wink

Maybe instead of the minorities bringing in the Revs Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, maybe you guys in Cincy can round up some of your local yokels like Jerry Springer, Marge Schott, and Larry Flynt to fly in and take care of business. Besides, those three (especially Marge) have a much better reputation for dealing with race relations than the previously mentioned duo.

Thumbs down

It's called social engineering. Our government thinks it's somehow in the know about it. Most of their experiments fail miserably. I have yet to see a Congressman partake in the activities.
