Post Will MPG improve?

Have less the 300 miles on my 01 XLT Xcab 4x4 with the 5.4L, 3.55rear, and 17" tires. Getting 13.0 MPG. Will this get any better as the engine wears in?

Yes. But dont expect more than 18 on the highway/13 city. You could get lucky though.

Cool

Most likely yes. I get around 13.5-15 in town and around 17-18 on the road.

13, 14, 15, whatever. Even if you get better mileage, you won't be happy. Remember, it's a full-size 5.4, not a 1.8 honda civic. I used to freak-out about my mileage, but then it occured to me that the benefits of my truck far outweigh the small difference in gas that I squable over between 13-15 mpg. Try not to think about it too much and enjoy it while you still can afford the gas ('cuz it's gonna keep going up)DOH!
