I wakeboard and ski also(more ski than board), but don't have enough experience to help you out on any choices. I can only do a couple surface tricks and jump a little on the wake. Sadly enough I can jump my slalom just about as high. I'm still using an old Hyperlite that's like 7 years old now. It's still fine for my level, so I keep it...
Just wanted to chime in and let you know there at least one other watersports guy here. Good luck with the new board.

I used to wakeboard for hyperlite, and I've spent the last two summers teaching at a ski school. There are a couple things to consider: What level of rider are you? What are you looking for from the board? Obviously there are high end boards that beginner will hate, and will not be able to use fully. Also, what is your price range, and what are any other factors (ie: do you share the board with other people?) Let me know the answers to these questions and I"ll help you out. The most important thing of all though is to try some different boards before you make up your mind. Any decent shop will let you demo boards and take the price of the demo off the purchase price if you decide to buy there.

I would like to concider myself more than a beginer but i am not the greatest. I have found "liquid force search" board from overtons that i like. I want good stable board that will be good for jumping, and surface tricks. I am thinking probably not more than 325-350. I might share the board with others but i am not going to worry about that very much because we have one that every one else can use if mine wont fit them. we dont have any shops around here really so i doubt the demo thing would work. I also ski alot and well too. I can slalom ski too. I can both skis completely out of the water and almost wake to wake. I havent advanced that far yet though on the slalom though.

Well, you have a few options. There are a number of boards on the market that a beginner to intermediate rider will find more than suitable, but that will also appeal to more advanced riders. As long as you stick to the main manufactures you should be fine. Keep in mind that a lot of your decision is based on personal preference. Personally I don't like Liquid Force. Not because they are bad boards, but they just don't fit my "style". I don't like the way they ride, and I'm more comfortable on a Hyperlite. Along those lines, I think that Overton's and the other mail order companies will let you return an item if it is new condition. Also check out http://www.wileyski.com They have great deals and are superb to work with. I think that you will find almost any board fine for what you are looking for. As far as size, it really depends on your size. If you're over 180 lbs. or so then I would look for a board in excess of 140cm's That's just a general rule, but it will give you something to go by. If you get it narrowed down to a couple of boards that you are looking at then let me know and I'll tell you what I think. You'll be pressed to find a decent board and bindings for $350, but if you already have bindings it shouldn't be a problem. You might try posting your question a few other places too.

I had a hyperlite board that i got and learned how to ride on it but the bindings on it suck so i got this one which should be an all around board for ridding and jumping any learning tricks. Time to start getting the boat set up for big air. I get towed behind our 1985 Champion fish N ski with a 175hp Mercury. So i am going to try and rig up a pylon.

I started wakeboarding with my family about 5 years ago. I really enjoyed it. I have bad knees and it didn't seem as harsh as slalom skiing did. I haven't done it in a couple of years now due to a weight problem but I hope to get back on it this summer. I have only use Hyperlite up to this point. We had an old unidirectional board that we all cut our teeth on. Then we bought a better one to start learning some tricks on. The only thing I was any good at was jumps. I could get some serious air but had trouble landing a lot. Any way, we like our Hyperlite. Good quality inexpensive board.
