Dodge vs Ford... which one?
I'm not saying the Cummins is far superior to any other diesel. I just believe that it is a slightly better motor than what is available on the market today. I would like to see a test of all diesel engines on the market, just for grins.
But, I haven't seen to many Mercedes Diesels ran for 9-14 hours a day, 275-345 days out of the year, pulling a 25' tandem or a 9 row lister or 9 row planter, in a fine, red dirt field.
I have also seen many pre-94 Dodge Cummins trucks that still run like they are brand new, excluding the fact that the truck is falling apart.
I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest over this. I am simply stating my opinion on the matter, and I think that Cummins has probably the best diesel engine, for the time.
