Talking Hey, GO4IT!

Parma? Parma!! Then it's in your blood, boy! You still wearin' those Parma Socks?
(Sorry...I couldn't resist!) Biz sometimes takes me to Cleveland 'burbs. No matter how long I'm away (and its been awhile), I still miss the E. 9th St. Pier, Fagan's, visiting the Arcade, Manners, Ghoulardi (God Bless ya, Ernie!), Big Chuck & HOULIHAN, taking the Rapid Transit from the 'burbs into the Terminal Tower, Metroparks, and taking my t-shirt off in the "Dog Pound". While I've been transplanted down here for several years, when folks ask me where I'm from, I smile a big ol' grin and say: "Cleveland!!" (Now, where did I put down my Iron City Beer?)

I thought it was "Big Chuck and Little John"? We get back to OH when we can. Going back in a few weeks. I'll see if LIL' GO remembers those places. I think we may have time to go to the Rock Hall again. What else should we do while we are downtown?

I've seen the Indians at "the" stadium back in the late 70's and once in the new stadium. Cleveland's a pretty cool place.

It was BC&LJ after Houlihan, who I always thought was funnier. Ask lilgo if she ate at Corky&Lenny's; a fine real deli, pirogies and everything. It's always interesting to go thru the West Side Market; the mix of cultures/foods/tastes/people is really cool. I spent a month there one summer shooting photos for an essay. It was always different. As for "regular" fun, any time spent in the Flats is time well spent. Lots of watering holes to try. You might also see if "The Agora" is still open. It's been years since I've had the opportunity to see for myself. Used to haunt the place on weekends: live bands, dancing. Its been around a long time, and has seen the beginning of many famous bands; James Gang comes to mind. JA. And if you're in to rock, I'm sure you usually have the FM dial tuned to the Home of the Buzzard, WMMS. Dang! I'm getting homesick now. Maybe I can wrangle an extended biz trip back north again.
