Don't take this the wrong way, guys, but if you have ever spent time in Japan, you would not react so strongly about this one. You can tell it is a Nissan, and in Japan, space is at a major premium. People are not allowed to own cars unless they can prove they have space to park it off the streets, which are often so narrow that a normal American car would simply not fit. In Japan, they sell 3 cylinder cars because they are efficient and small. This is such a car. They, very seriously, look like they run on sewing machine engines.

Since the average Japanese is at least 6 inches shorter than the average American, and because most Japanese are NEVER overweight, small cars are quite adequate.

Trust me on this one, this car, while perhaps stupid looking to an American, would be quite the 'rod in Japan, and I am sure that is where this picture was taken.

Actually, there are many really unique looking cars in production in Japan, and it is too bad that many of them do not get over here. Chrysler was definitely not the first with a "too cool to categorize" car...If you have ever seen an "S-Car-go", the PT Cruiser has nothing on Japan when it comes to unique readily available production cars.
