Question Anyone keep exotic pets?

I used to keep boas and pythons, and I love unusual aquarium residents.

What did you do with them? If you flushed them them down the toilet then I just wait till I get to SC to use the 'facilities'.

Raoul, I have given a few fish the "burial at sea" (most of 'em dead) but never one of the snakes. They always got adopted by a caring foster parent except for the 15' python in Phoenix who just got mean one day and had to go to a pet shop. She was too big to flush anyway.

Cool

I've got a Wolf, does that count? He's about 70% Timber and the rest Malamute, bred as a hybrid to be more domestic.

Nothing too dangerous here, I specialize in keeping exotic and hard to find catfish in my aquarium.

I had ****atiels. They sat on my shoulders and whistled Andy Grifith and ate with me. People thought that was pretty exotic.

Not really exotic, but we have three ferrets that will kill anything that walks, crawls or flies across the floor! We call them carpet sharks!

Used to have many different snakes (red tail boa my favorite), but now own a pair of golden headed box turtles. Not incredibly exotic like an alligator monitor, but a lot less trouble, too.

I used to have a breeding pair of angelfish. The local pet shop thought it was pretty rare to get them to spawn in an aquarium and bought them for 75 bucks. It really was easy to get them to spawn.Neglected them for 5 months.I did feed them though.Water level dropped low enough that it barely covered the fish. One day I decide it was time to clean the tank and fill it up.So I did.Not more than a week after I did it, my fish were makin babies.I also used to have a siberian husky but she came into heat, jumped the fence and got hit by a car. Do these count as pets: wild turkeys, blacktail deer, mountain quail, cougars, ruffed grouse, rattlesnakes, owls and red tailed hawks? They all live an my ranch.Too Bad I don't live there yet. The House should be finished by august.

I neglected to mention that I also keep Red Ear Sliders (baby snapping turtles) and Alligator Snapping turtles. The Red Ears are in a 50 gallon tank to please the GF, and the Alligators stay in the pond. Those are some smelly little bastar$s. We have to kill tham when we see them though. They like to cross the street and get hit by cars. Besides that, they have broken a couple of dogs legs before. These are the nastiest most dangerous littls ******ers that I have ever seen.

Hey Waldo0506, I thought it was pretty funny that the word sensor wouldn't let you submit the name of your birds and replaced it with ***terisks.

What in the...me too? What if I was here trying to warn everyone that we were about to hit by ***teriods???

Here's my killer...

He's a hand-raised lovebird, so he's exceptionally affectionate!
