Anyone heard of this . I just seen it on the news. Ford is coming out with a key with presets set into it which you set yourself. Its intended for teen drivers. You can set the top speed , radio volume , (there was more but I cant seem to recall all ) .Sounds like a great program for families with new teen drivers hitting the road . FORD

 

oh great.... now we're going to have threads from teens on how to bypass this annoying thing...

taking the top speed down to 65 would be the best thing ford did for teens though... volume control, well, thats a bit much... let them blare it and ruin their speakers...

 

My buddy did this same thing using his tuner for his Corvette... whenever he'd give the keys to his son who was 16, he'd set the limiter to 55 mph and rev limiter to 3,500 rpms. Worked like a charm!

 

i wouldnt let my 16 year old son drive my corvette. lol

 

Neither would I, but he's a good kid...
