It likes some brands better than others but nothing I have ever used runs badly in this 5.4 3v. Maybe it's the tuner...maybe not.
I mostly use Exxon because it usually the cheapest. Texaco usually is also cheap and runs a bit better than Exxon....even BP usually runs better than Shell but Chevron runs the best when I can find it at a reasonable price.

I have a question though. Why does my truck get better mpg if I top it off? Every time I top off the tank, I get close to a mpg better than I do if I have run a full tank. The other day, I filled up with 7 gal and it was the best mpg I have gotten in a while.

My truck came with a computer to figure it but to answer your question I dont know.

I do notice the last half of the tank seems to burn faster than the first by my computer if I set it at a full tank and reset it at a bit more than half.
Should be the reverse since the truck is lighter?
