Talking What was your first car?

Mine was a 67 Mustang 289 auto. I loved that old thing.

A '70 Nova that was owned by a lil old lady. This car was pastel yellow and the other kids (high school) laughed at it until I toasted them in their new T/A's! Differance between me and them: I worked for what I wanted (the car) and then worked at it some more (performance).

Cool

83 Chevette.
I fixed it more than I drove it.
But I did learn a lot about how cars worked.
Even took the oppritunity to do some performance mods when something "broke"
1: Exhaust fell out the car so i installed a homemade catback
2: air filter kept getting clogged with oil so I did an airbox mod.
3: Computer died so I converted everything to non-computer stuff from the junkyard.
4: Engine overheated around town so I installed electric fan (again out of junkyard)
All in all the car made an excellent sleeper.
These mods made the car have ok performance for basically a dog of a car.
Even beat some 4cyl Mustangs.
Boy they were embarassed.

1987 Ford Ranger standard cab, 2.3 litre 4 cylinder. Blue over silver.

Since then I've had a Mitsubishi Eclipse, a Toyota Tacoma, Mercedes-Benz C-230, and now full circle back to Ford with the F150.

1970 Camaro. It had a L-82(corvette motor)and it hauled ***. Only bad thing was, it was ugly, the wiring was fried, and a bungie cord kept the driver side door closed. Finnaly traded it for a bike.

Exclamation

My first car that I truly bought myself (no ex-husbands help) was a 1977 Celica GT 5speed (I gotta shift) Loved that car, had it repainted with candy blue on top of green metalflake, sharp. At the time I had a 15'Glastron speed boat that I also had painted to match. And sitting in the car with me was my great dane. My "ex" didn't know what to think of me, kind of blew his mind. He was a "pinto" kind of guy and I hate pintos (the car of course)

Cool

Mine was a 69 Lincoln Mark 3 with a little 460 and 4 barel carb. It was a 15 year old car at the time I bought it. I wish I still had it one great car and is the only car that I owned that wasn't a Ford.
