It seems if you're not a 4 wheeler or Lightning owner you are **** out of luck. I do enjoy reading the Lightning posts and seeing the changes being made to the 2001. But outside that section, 4wheelers are running rampant. Where can a 2 wheel drive guy give and receive info on 2 wheel drives. And NO I'M NOT INTERESTED IN A FRIGGIN' LIFT KIT, BODY LIFT OR KNOBBY TIRES! I haven't posted in a while for these reasons. There just doesn't seem to be an appropriate section. Just thought I'd vent!

 

What info do you need on? I mean other than the fact that a 4wd has an extra button or lever, a Transfercase and another axle. They are about the same as a 2wd. So with any questions about your truck, just post away!

All you need is patience! I will help out as many people as I can! What stops me sometimes from helping is lack of knowledge on our trucks. I don't care if they are 2wd or 4wd as long as they are Ford trucks

This site is far from limited in my opinion, in fact, just the opposite! All you need to do is post any specific question you have in what seems to be the relevant section, and you'll generally get plenty of responses. And if there doesn't seem to be a directly relevant section, then just post it in the closest thing. You registered here back 2 years ago according to your profile, so surely you see that there are sections here on everything from engines to transmissions, and then all other driveline; then there are the electrical & body sections, the STB & safety sections, tires & wheels, a section for just about each specific Ford truck, aftermarket, stereos, and the list goes on and on.............from body to driveline to powertrain to electronics to wheels & tires to interiors, etc., I don't get the impression that this site is "beginning to get limited". I get just the opposite impression, as over the time that you've been here, the past 2 years, there have been many upgrades, changes, additions, fine-tuning, more and new & different sections begin frequently added, etc., I'd say that this is the most responsive Ford truck web site on the Internet today, but that's just my opinion.

Come on KnightS, there's plenty of places to fit in and it's easy to do. No need to be jealous of those Lightning boys, all they can do is go fast but, they can't even get a factory two-tone paint job.

Here's some tips:
Post with a bunch of mispelled words and people will think you have 4WD.

In the next racin' thread, just say, "Hey, it's a TRUCK!" and you'll have all the V6 boys in your corner.

Make a real 'nasal' post and people will ask you how you're enjoying that King Ranch SuperCrew.

Just type any old stupid thing and five people will ask, "Raoul, that you?".

Don't be afraid to ask questions....Like Ephfifty said, all these trucks are basically similar, just different engines (4.2, 4.6, 5.4)...Transmissions are slightly different....Running gears might be different...But in all, a truck is a truck...Wouldn't you feel strange coming here and asking a question about a Yugo??? Just my two cents...I have gotten a lot of ideas and help from this site....Just post away....

I'm a 2 wheeler and I have NO problem finding plenty to do here.

 

i used to hang at the ranger board and i would have to say this one is more friendly and the questions here always seem to get response. this site must have good filtering and or the people on here are MUCH more mature than the ones that frequent the ranger board.

I must disagree. I followed this site for about a year before I bought my L. I must say there is a greater body of knowledge about the F150 here than probably anywhere else. Whenever I meet a fellow Ford owner I point them here. This site is a great resource. It is also a great online community, visit some of the other boards full of smack talking, know nothings and you will appreciate what F150Online has to offer. YMMV

This site is always full of info, and even when it's not there's always something good for a laugh. This is THE best site as far as the info/flame ratio.
