Your in Florida, that is a acceptable excuse for knowing only the word for "cheese".

alomar, I was going to ask you to respond to some personnel questions that I got regarding where you live and an interrogation of questions about your castle, Like how much do you spend on energy each year. Do you have an extra bedroom in the basement that has the proper windows in case of a fire. When was the last time you upgraded the electrical and more. Over the past ten years I have spent more than $15,000 to get my castle to the 21st century. But I won't ask you, because it's your business, not mine.

Personal, not personnel, im not your employee.
And second, ask away......I would not be offended not weirded out at all. If someone asks simple questions like that for the purposes of the census I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Good catch. Now that I think about it, I had my home up for sale a few months ago with Zillow. Perhaps this person had alternative motives. If that's the case, I would have been more than happy to invite her in to look around if she would have been straight with me from the start. Sorry, I just have a hard time trusting anyone theses days. Got to keep your guard up all the time. btw, It's (I'm) not im. Nice chat we had.

I am working for the Department of Commerce and right now specifically the Bureau of the Census in a Supervisory capacity and can forward this on to people who can find out why they wanted to know so much more than they should have ever asked.
I am more than sure it could happen, and the workers go through a LOT of training and are sworn in. Title 13 protects your information, if there is any doubt, ask them for ID and on their badge they should have emergency numbers. Call one of them to verify these people are who they say they are. There is a law that mandates that we cooperate with Census, but it is understandable also to verify that the people are actually Census, and working in a higher office with the Bureau, I can tell you, no one in any area should be asking that many questions at this time. They should ask if you have a multi-unit structure or a single-family home (if they can't tell) and if you have any additional living quarters on the property such as an apartment above your garage or something. Anything more than that, and I would question highly.
