I can only assume that in order to be a Democrat, you have to be blatantly stupid. I guess even Texas Democrats fall into that category. They had better get the message though or find another job come this November. They are in for a surprise as the voters WILL be turning out this fall and it won't be for their reelection. Here's why I make the statements:
AUSTIN, Texas -- A group of Texas House Democrats said Republican Gov. Rick Perry was reckless when he spoke of secession after an anti-tax rally and that he should disavow any talk of withdrawing from the United States.
Democratic Rep. Jim Dunnam of Waco said some people associate talk of secession with racial division and the Civil War. He said such talk is anti-American.
Perry's office did not immediately respond to the criticism Thursday.
On Wednesday, answering a question from The Associated Press after an anti-tax rally, Perry said he doesn't think Texas should secede from the union despite some talk about it on the Internet. But he said Americans are getting fed up with Washington and that it's unknown what that might lead to one day.

I like that quote! I have a feeling that I might borrow it a time or three.

Unfortunately there were none here. Nearest one was 60 miles away and I couldn't miss classes to go. If I have to next time, I'll organize it.

I hear that there were a bunch of racist, redneck, radicalized right wing extremeists teabaggin at these "protests"?

I was hoping to make it to Boston, but work takes precedent. I had put in for a vacation day but a couple important jobs came up and I couldn't take the day off. I did make it to a smaller Tea party in my area. It started at four, so I got out of work a little early. I went to the Tea party, then went back to work for another eight hours.

We had something like two, two hundred fifty people here. A lot more than I thought there would be. It was great. What a great bunch of people. The reaction was great too.

Has anyone else recieved their check from the republican machine yet? I'm still waiting for mine.
