Good Deal!
Well, got back from Florida yesterday after spending the week at my grandparent's place in Summerfield, FL. One of the big things I went to do besides visit my terminally ill grandpa was to try and get a smaller car for Gram, who does all the driving now.
Arrived Sunday, and Monday after running to DMV to get a copy of the title (which my grandparents couldn't find) we stopped next door at Belleview Ford (Ocala Ford).
The salesman my grandfather bought his F150 from was sitting out front, and my Gram recognized him. He came over, recognized her and we talked for a bit.
I was gonna play "the game" with them, but turned out I didn't have to. Told him up front I wanted to trade the 07 SCab for an 07+ Focus. He looked at me and asked why not a Fusion? Ok, I said.
5hrs later, my grandparents had a black 07 Fusion SEL sedan sitting in their driveway, and the dealer ended up owing them $0.65!
Grams happy, loves the car and the fact she can see around it. Kinda funny though thinking of my 82yo Gram driving a 3.0L V6 Fusion w/alloy wheels, spoiler, sunroof, CD/MP3.
I think I dun good.
Got some thumbs up and a cpl of whistles while driving around in the FX4 too. Too bad she's dirtier than a NY city girl after driving thru "tornado infested" S. Carolina and the rain which lasted from GA to CT. Grr.

When I looked at the trade in value of the F150 it was ~$13k. And retail value of the Fusion was about $16k.
Taking into consideration that my 82yo Gram has a hard enough time getting in/out of a recliner, and seeing as she recently slipped on the running boards while it was raining... her safety is #1.
I honestly went down with info for Focus', but when they offered the Fusion I figured why not.
