Post Name for puppy

I got my daughter a puppy for her birthday and want to give it a unusual name. (go figure)
She is part German Shepard.
Her dads name is "Little Foot" (although he is HUGE) and is from out west.
She has blu/grey eyes, but they may change as she is about 7 weeks old.
I need ideas before daughter comes home and wants to name it something I don't like.
I don't like color names, (like 'brownie' or 'smokey') girlie sounding names, or common names.
Heck, it doesn't even have to be a name. It can be a word(s) that would make a cool name.
So please go ahead and post anything you can think of.

I like names like Cody, Dakota or even Harley! I agree with you on common names - I always wonder when someone calls out "Spot" how many dogs will come running!
Whatever you do, DO NOT call it eph1fifty! That's a ploy on eph's part - he figures if you name the dog that & he ever is w/in earshot it is a signal for HIM to come running! He's just lloking for a free meal & maybe some orange juice - LONG story, eh eph?! LOLm!
Good luck - can't wait to hear what you decide on! Maybe you should post a picture so we can see what the puppy looks like - sometime it helps! Bye!

Cool

How about damnit? Or "alfombra nueva" which is spanish for "new carpet".

I am terrible at dog names, I named my dog "Flash" which is a pretty stupid name. I get made fun of all the time. If I get another dog, I will name it "Jose" or maybe even "Hose B".

Thumbs up

Just name it "NO!" and save your breath.

That's what my Shepherd thinks his name is.
Shepherds are smart and if you don't keep them occupied they are as mischievous as a little kid.

Things started disappearing after we got him and I liked 'Johnny Quest' as a kid so, for the last ten years we've called him 'Bandit'.

How about Deoge, or D O G. Sounds good, and nobody will ever forget how it is spelled.

Ok, the mothers Name is "Apache" and here are some pics. (don't mind the mess!)
We are on the right track with the other languages, Spanish, Native american or anything reflective of the west.

The puppy meets the bunnie (Civaglia).

Where the Cat (Osgood) hid after swatting the puppy and deciding to leave the rest of the house to the bunnie and puppy. Yes, the Cat and Bunnie are named after hockey players. But the puppy is different.

Our first dog is named Danielle, because my wife liked the name and I said I wouldn't name my kids that. The second dog was named Britt, because she is a brittany spaniel. The third is named Scout, after the tomboy girl in "To kill a mockingbird".
