If the dog wasn't your daughter's then I would reccomend that you call it "bitch" just think of all of the fun you could have!

Bitch get back here!

LOL Yeah, and then whenever I heard those words uttered in my direction, I could reply "You just leave my dog out of it"

eph1fifty,
Nope, not a photogragher. Just a D.A. Traffic Engineer who snuck the digital camera home from work to get some shots for my web page. I think the photo came out so good because of whats in it - Ford and Harley.
Heck, I usually can't even hold a camera still enough to get a crisp shot. Everytime I want to take a picture of a good looking women on my bike, my dang wife has to show up!

I'm with cphilip,

One of my apartment mate in college showed up with a white german shepard pup he got from the pound one day. She had been hit by a car and had a cast on one of her back legs.
I wasn't to happy since my name was on the lease, but I told him she could stay if HE took care of her and HE paid for any damages and HE filed the paperwork with the apartment association. Which he did. Boy, that dog sure tore up that place the first few months.
After much deliberation between the 3 apartments mates I suggested he name her:

Fetchin' Gretchen the Slime Queen.

The name stuck.
She was a good dog, She just didn't get enough attention from her owner.
He worked as a greens keeper at a local golf course in the evenings setting the sprinklers and was able to take the dog(as long as he cleaned up after her). She could run and run and run.
She was to tired at the end of the day to do any tearing up in the apartment after that.

Sorry for the long winded post!
I vote for Gretchen.

Unhappy

I had a Shepard/Husky/Doberman mix. This dog was dark brown with some black and white stripes and he was the best dog I've ever had. When he was a pup, his feet were huge, so we named him Goliath. But he never did get more than 50lbs and about 3 feet high. So we nicknamed him "UGLY DOG". From that day forward he answered faster to "Ugly" than anything else, if I called him by his real name, he thought he was in trouble!! He grew up together with my kids and was part of the family. I had him for almost 14 years before I had to put him to sleep. I can't do dogs anymore, I'll never have another "Ugly" ... he was the best!! Be carefull though!! I lived in Flint and in Jackson, so some people will look at you and say ... "that's not Ugly dog!!"

Cousins have a Rottweiler (sp?) named Moose. He's fat and has an unusually sweet dispostition. Totally worthless as a watch dog. The name suits him. LOL.

Another cousin had a whole string of Brownies.

If your pup was a male, I'd name him Diesel. Not sure it would make a good name for a female, though.

Hi Andi,

With a cat named Osgood.

You NEED a dog named "Vernie".

In keeping with the western theme, Vernie is a Calgary native.

This will give proper recognition to both 'Cups !
