Question Hey Shutterbugs: How to keep my red from looking orange

When I shoot photos, more often than not the red comes out looking orange. Seems to be sunlight pics or flash shots mostly. I'm using an 8mp Sony Cybershot

What can I do to help this?

Thanks,

Spike

Check your white balance settings. Try playing with different settings adjusting the white balance until you achieve what you are looking for. The flash could be causing it also so try setting the camera stationary (on a tripod or non-moving support) and turning the flash off and taking the picture.

That's true too - have you looked at the pics on another computer? Not only the monitor - it could be video driver settings.

check this for your monitor color

As for as the images looking orange, that sometimes happens with mine. Im using an 8MP Samsung cam. Try taking pics that arent in direct sunlight of what your shooting and adjusting your cam settings, that may help.

Thanks guys. I found the white balance on my cam. I'll have to try it this weekend. I don't think its my monitor as your guy's trucks look red not orange.

Here is an example of how it is more orange near the front.

BTW Achap: nice nerfs!
