Why don't we use the Chat Romm here?

Why don't we use the Chat Romm here?
I have peeked into our Chat Room many times & I never find anyone there! It's really hard to chat when I'm all by myself! Besides, I talk to myself all the time - I'd rather talk to others every now & then!
Seriously - I checked another chat room as many of you know & it's almost always busy! It's really lots of fun to talk to each other & even be able to get immediate answers to questions instead of waiting for a posted reply!
Our Forums seem to have more activity than other sites so it baffles me as to why we don't use the Chat feature Steve has for us.
Maybe if we try to list days/times that are most convenient we can start getting something going here. I really believe everyone would find it to be as much fun as I've found it to be.
Let's give it a try - maybe if we get enough people using this Steve can "spice" the program up a bit

Cowlady, i think because no one dedicates themselves to being in there for very long, they just peek in, see if others are in, if theres no one then they leave

The chat room used to thrive at one time. If memory is correct, meetings on Wed at 8 would be the big time. I think it faded off when the software changed.

one thing I noticed... you have to click on the name of the Chat Room ("F150 Oline Main Chat Room") in order to see if anyone is in the room. I'm not sure if many people realize this... I know I didn't until just now.

Okay - GREAT NEWS! I have been promised I will have company tonight in our chat room! I will be on around 9:00 PM EST. I am hoping you will stop by to see who is here with me! Mostly, I am hoping we can get this chat room buzzing with some of the 9,027 members from this site! You'd think that with THAT MANY people someone would want to chat! LOL!
I am not setting up any schedules but I will try to post the times/days when there is the most interest. This way you can see if there is a time slot that's convenient for you!

The former chat time was Thursday nights at 9pm EST. When I first registered here, there was only about 1500 registered members. There were a lot of regulars back then that chatted. Andthensometoo, Neal the HP freak, Tina, myself and many others. And then there were the irregulars, Raoul and Dunbarton. Since the site has gotten so big now and the chat software changed (nobody seemed to like it much) it's all I can do to read some of the daily posts. I really only post to the GD forum now. I rarely read any of the other forums due to time constraints. There was a time when some of these forums would go for days with no new posts. I can only imagine how many would show up for chat now, wheww! Thursday night was always a good night for us. Give it another shot.
